DE250 Activity Book

The Delaware Public Archives, in partnership with Delaware 250 and with support from the Delaware Department of Education, has released a new DE250 Activity Book designed to help students learn about Delaware’s role in the American Revolution.

The Activity Book includes stories, puzzles, games, and historical content that highlight key people, places, and events from Delaware’s Revolutionary era. Topics include Delaware’s delegates, the Battle of Cooch’s Bridge, daily life during the Revolution, and the contributions of underrepresented communities. Hands-on activities are included to help students better connect with this period of Delaware history.

Developed to support Delaware’s fourth-grade history curriculum, the booklet is intended primarily for classroom use, though it is accessible to anyone interested in learning more about the state’s Revolutionary past. The Activity Book is available for free digital download and will also be distributed at upcoming Delaware 250 events.

Efforts are underway to provide the Activity Book to every fourth-grade classroom in Delaware. Teachers and school administrators who are interested in receiving printed copies or a digital delivery link may send an email request to delaware250@delaware.gov.
