Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of a Delaware State Trooper who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our community during the tragic incident in Wilmington. His courage and selflessness reflect the very best of public service and law enforcement.

We grieve alongside his family, his fellow troopers, and all who serve on the front lines to keep our communities safe. We also keep the victims and everyone impacted by this event in our thoughts and prayers.

Today we stand united in gratitude for those who willingly place themselves in harm’s way to protect others. May God bless the Delaware State Police and the family of this fallen hero.
