Our Flag, Our Story

Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots,

Today, on Flag Day, we honor a symbol that some may see as just a piece of cloth. But to us, it means far more.

It is the banner that led soldiers through fire and fear. It is the emblem that was planted on the moon. It is folded and handed to families who have given everything for the cause of freedom. It flies over our schools, our courthouses, our places of worship, and our homes. Wherever it flies, it reminds us that we are one people with a shared promise.

The American flag represents the enduring spirit of liberty and the values that have shaped our country. It speaks to sacrifice, courage, unity, and the belief that a better future is always worth fighting for.

Here in Sussex County, we do not take those values lightly. We live them. We teach them. We defend them. We understand that the flag is not just something we see on holidays. It is something we carry in our hearts every day.

So as you see the flag today, take a moment to reflect. It is not just fabric and thread. It is the voice of generations who came before us. It is the light that guides those who will come after us.

It is not just a piece of cloth. It is the soul of a free people.

With respect and resolve,

Daniel Willis

Chair

Sussex County Republican Party
