Team Sussex,

As we enter a new year, I want to begin by sharing that as we move toward 2026, our communications and our work will be carried forward under one name, Team Sussex. While I am proud to serve as your team captain, this is not an individual endeavor. It is a team effort, and our success will depend on every member understanding their role and contributing to the whole.

BREAKWATER KICKOFF EVENT

To mark the start of the legislative session and formally kick off the 2026 election season for the Sussex County Republican Party, we will host a Breakwater Kickoff gathering on January 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at FINS Oyster Bar & Grill.

This evening will provide an opportunity to hear directly from legislators, discuss priorities for the year ahead, and come together as we begin the work of the 2026 cycle.

Tickets are ten dollars per person and include your choice of one of the following: one house wine, one house beer, one house liquor with mixer or one non-alcoholic beverage.

The beginning of a new year calls for renewed focus and a reaffirmation of the principles that strengthen families, sustain communities, and guide responsible governance. In Sussex County, those principles remain grounded in faith, service to others, and meaningful civic engagement. 

As we look toward 2026, Democrats have been clear in their desire to advance what they describe as a blue wave. For Delaware, this language reflects decades of one party control that have resulted in rising costs, diminished accountability, and a growing disconnect between government and the people it serves. Many Delawareans experience the consequences of these policies each day. When momentum becomes unchecked, responsible leadership requires action.

That is why this moment matters. We must build a breakwater. A deliberate and steady effort to restore balance, accountability, and common sense to state government. This responsibility rests with the Republican Party, and it is a responsibility we are prepared to carry forward together.

The year ahead will require unity, discipline, and clarity of purpose. Team Sussex succeeds only when we move forward together. It is an honor to serve alongside you as we take on the work ahead.

With faith as our foundation and service as our guide, Sussex County is well positioned to meet the challenges ahead with confidence.
