When Delaware holds a special election to fill a seat vacated by a current office holder, a committee decides who will be on the ballot for each of the major parties.
I am a firm believer in the voting public making that decision, which is why I partnered across the aisle with Representative Mara Gorman on legislation that does just that. To me, it is common sense. We hold primaries ahead of regular elections, so why should special elections be any different?
