New Double Barreled Attack WARNING

Anti-gun Democrat leaders are poised to launch a new double-barreled attack on Delaware’s FFLs (Federal Firearm Licensee) and your right to keep and bear arms for lawful purposes. Their goal is to drive every FFL out of Delaware so that you cannot lawfully purchase a gun and to register every firearm purchase.

Multiple known and reliable sources have warned both DSSA and the NRA that a veritable anti-gun tsunami is about to crash down on Delaware’s licensed firearms dealers and firearm owners in a two-pronged attack designed to put FFL’s out of business and deprive you of your ability to keep and bear arms to defend yourself, your home, your business, and destroy your ability to obtain firearms for hunting and recreation free from government harassment and registration.

First there was the Semi-Auto Ban, then the Magazine Ban and the Under 21 Ban, and then there was the infamous Permit-to-Purchase scheme that has already resulted in handgun sales in Delaware dropping almost 80% in less than one year.

DSSA is fighting all four (4) of these unconstitutional attacks on your rights in court right now. But that’s not all!

Now we are told that two more nails are about to be driven into the coffin of Second Amendment Rights in Delaware.

The first potentially fatal nail comes from the retiring Democrat Senate President Pro Tempore, Senator David Sokola who has proposed a scheme aimed at Delaware’s FFLs and their law-abiding customers and firearm purchasers.

HIS GOAL IS TO DRIVE EVERY DELAWARE FFL OUT OF BUSINESS AND TO REGISTER EVERY GUN – EVERY SHOTGUN, EVERY RIFLE AND EVERY HANDGUN SOLD IN DELAWARE.

Your DSSA and NRA have obtained copies of a draft bill that is currently being circulated within the General Assembly seeking sponsors

The draft bill requires every dealer to spend tons of money to install video equipment to record every sale – and then eventually send those videos to the State Police.

It also requires full registration of each and every firearm and each and every buyer of firearms – those records are also to be sent to the State Police. And it allows and even requires the State Police to keep records of all gun sales and gun buyers.

And it imposes new, confiscatory fees (taxes) on Dealers based upon the number of firearms they sell in any given year. License fees that can approach $50,000 per year!!!

And, finally, it repeals the section of the Code that protects your information from a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request – if this passes everyone can find out what guns you purchased and what dealer you visited!

Expect this bill, in this form or some other, to be introduced in the Delaware Senate within the next few days.

THIS BILL DUPLICATES FEDERAL LAW and DOES NOTHING FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

The second potentially fatal nail in freedom’s coffin is coming from our illustrious Soros-style, gun-hating, Attorney General, Kathy Jennings.

Back in 2022, AG Jennings pushed a bill through the General Assembly giving her the power to go after gun dealers she did not like under the theory that they are a public nuisance. (See SB 302 from 2022 and 10 Del. C § 3930).

Then she added three more lawyers to her staff to investigate and handle such cases. So far none of those cases have appeared – but that will soon end.

Multiple sources have informed your DSSA and NRA that AG Jennings will soon announce actions against perhaps as many as five (5) of the largest FFLs in Delaware, alleging that because a very few of the guns they legally sold to lawful buyers were subsequently used in crimes these gun shops are a public nuisance.

The whole purpose of this effort by the AG is to drive those dealers out of business – it is extremely expensive to defend yourself in court against the AG and the State of Delaware, especially when you have done nothing wrong.

Jennings knows that and that is why she is doing this – to make it impossible for you to buy a gun in Delaware – any gun – shotgun, handgun, rifle – all guns.

Gun bans, mag bans, discriminatory age bans, permits-to-purchase, and now direct attacks on FFLs – Delaware’s Democrats think they have found a way to disarm law-abiding Delawareans – and maybe they have – but not if you stand up for your rights and make your voice heard.
