A Message From Tom Molnar, Sussex GOP Chair

March 31, 2026

Fellow Sussex County Republicans,

I would like to congratulate Daniel Willis on his election as Delaware Republican State Vice Chair. I had the privilege of working alongside Daniel during his time as Sussex County Chair, and I appreciate the leadership he brought to our organization. Daniel’s blend of professional experience as a management consultant supporting the defense sector throughout his career, combined with his political leadership here in Sussex County, will suit him well in this new role as he works to help strengthen and transform the Delaware Republican Party. Congratulations, Daniel.

My name is Tom Molnar, and I have served as the Sussex County Vice Chair for nearly two and a half years. It is an honor to step into the role of Sussex County Chair. I have been actively involved in the Sussex County Republican Party for more than 12 years, serving as an Election District Committee Member and as Vice President of the 38th District Republican Club & PAC. Throughout that time, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many dedicated Republicans across our county as we have supported candidates, grown our grassroots organization, and strengthened our local party.

Due to redistricting, I now reside in the 41st District, but my commitment to the success of the Republican Party across Sussex County remains the same. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with many of you across our ten districts, and I look forward to continuing to build on that foundation as we head into the upcoming election cycle.

As we enter this crucial election year, our focus must be on teamwork, engagement, and action. This is a watershed year for Sussex County, and the success of our party will depend on all of us working together toward a shared goal: electing Republicans not only here in our county, but across the State of Delaware. In the months ahead, we will be organizing fundraising events, strengthening our grassroots operations, and maintaining a strong presence at public gatherings throughout the county with the First State Freedom Store.

If you are willing to step forward and get involved this year, we welcome your participation. Whether through one of our committees, volunteer initiatives, or local district activities, your time and talents can make a real difference. If you are interested in joining the team and helping move our efforts forward, please reply to this email and let us know how you would like to contribute.

I am also pleased to announce my selection of Mr. Shepard Kilby as interim Vice Chair. Shepard currently serves as the Representative District Chair for the 39th District and will now step into this important leadership role. I have had the opportunity to work with Shep for several years, and he brings both capability and dedication to the position. Above all, he is a strong and committed Republican. Congratulations, Shep.

Thank you all for your continued support,

Tom Molnar

Chairman

Sussex County Republican Party
