Warning! Read the 2025 Delaware Climate Change Action Plan

February 11, 2026

Dr. David Legates issued a stark warning as guest speaker at the Sussex Republican Party regional meeting on February 9th, 2026. We're sharing that warning with you here.

Also, see the VIEWPOINTS page of sussex.gop for a recent related article by Dr. Legates linked from the Caesar Rodney Institute website. The article refers to two pieces of legislation now before the General Assembly that would directly address rising electricity costs and growing reliability concerns.

From Dr. David R. Legates, Ph.D., Climatologist

Below is a link to the 2025 Delaware Climate Change Action Plan.  It is a 288-page tome that argues that Delaware is a low-lying state and as such, is subject to all sorts of climate change ills such as sea level rise, heat waves, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and droughts -- even though carbon dioxide poses no existential threat to our planet.

Consequently, this document presents a sweeping plan to implement draconian changes to transportation, industry, economics, energy, agriculture, education, and virtually every aspect of life in Delaware.  It is important that you know how the Democratic Party plans to change your life because this plan was given the go-ahead by the signing of HB99, the Climate Change Solutions Act of 2023, and thus the Executive Branch has carte blanche to implement these actions without further legislative approval.

Please take the time to read the Action Plan and become aware of what the Executive Branch has in store for us.  It is important we get the word out to our fellow voters because if we lose the House to a super majority of Democrats in this coming election, the Democrats will enshrine this plan into our State Constitution and we will never be able to extract it.  The future of our State depends on the outcome of the election on November 3rd.
