Sussex County GOP Executive Committee Issues Endorsement of Dr. Mike Katz for U.S. Senate

The Sussex County Republican Party is proud to endorse Dr. Mike Katz for the United States Senate and encourages Republicans across Sussex County to support our endorsed candidate in the September 15 Republican Primary and again in the November General Election.
This endorsement follows Dr. Katz's overwhelming endorsement by delegates at the 2026 Delaware Republican State Convention, where he earned the support of 82 percent of convention delegates.
The Sussex County Republican Party is proud to join Republican leaders and grassroots conservatives across Delaware in supporting the Delaware Republican Party's endorsed candidate for the United States Senate.
Sussex County Republican Committee Chairman Tom Molnar issued the following statement:
"Our Executive Committee has taken the time to get to know Dr. Mike Katz personally. We have looked at his record, talked with him about the issues facing Delaware, and carefully considered who is best prepared to represent our state in the United States Senate.
The Sussex County Republican Party does not make endorsements lightly. After getting to know Mike and carefully evaluating his record, we have complete confidence in his integrity, honesty, professionalism, conservative principles, and unwavering commitment to serve the people of Delaware. Character matters. Trust matters. We believe Dr. Mike Katz has both.
Throughout his career as a physician, business leader, and former Delaware State Senator, Mike has demonstrated that leadership is about service—not self—and that people always come before politics. He has earned our trust, and we believe he has earned the trust of Republicans throughout Delaware.
Mike understands Sussex County. He respects our farmers, watermen, small businesses, veterans, law enforcement officers, sportsmen, faith communities, and the hardworking families who make this county such a special place to live. We know he will be a strong advocate for Sussex County and will fight to protect our values, our economy, and our way of life. Dr. Katz expressed his appreciation for the endorsement.

Dr. Katz expressed his appreciation for the endorsement.

For thirty years, Delaware has been home for Trish and me, where we raised our family, built our careers, and dedicated our lives to serving others. I will never take the trust of the people of Sussex County for granted. If elected to the United States Senate, I will work every day to serve the people of Delaware with integrity, humility, and accountability. The people of Sussex County deserve a Senator who will listen, who will be present, and who will never forget who sent him to Washington.

The Sussex County Republican Party encourages every registered Republican to make a plan to vote for Dr. Mike Katz during Delaware's Early Voting beginning September 2 or on Primary Election Day, September 15.
