SCRC Chair Message

All,

WOW! What a fantastic convention we had over the weekend. Friday evenings highlight was our keynote speaker, General Michael Flynn. He addressed the future of this Country and how we must never give up the fight to protect our Republic. The take away phrase was “Local Action has a National Effect.” Definitely, words to live by.

Delaware Republicans endorsed Dr. Michael Katz as our Candidate to run against current Senator Coons in the General election. As the primary is in September, from my prospective, I believe he will be the winning Candidate to run for the Republicans in November.

We would like to congratulate Mr. Earl Cooper, who is our endorsed Candidate to challenge Representative McBride in November’s election. Earl is a very successful businessman from New Castle and he will have our full support.

At the Convention, Mr. Mike Ramone, had launched his bid to be our next Delaware State Treasurer. Mike is no stranger to politics and is another successful businessman. Mike ran for Governor at the last election and we fully support him.

Julianne Murray was nominated to be our next Attorney General. As she has not officially registered yet, we are hoping she does so shortly and she has our full support.

Sussex County had the largest number of voting delegates, (85), at the Convention, from all five (5) Districts and we want to thank those who attended and voted at this Convention. Again, THANK YOU for your time and efforts to be there both Friday and Saturday. I hope all “first timers” enjoyed this event.

On another positive note, the First State Freedom Store generated almost two thousand dollars’ worth of sales at the Convention. Keep your eyes open for our next pop-up Event and make sure you visit our store at 131 E. MARKET Street, Georgetown which is open daily 10:00am-2pm. THANK YOU all of the FSFS volunteers for everything that you do for the Sussex GOP.

On a final note, please pray for our Political Leaders as there was just another attempt on President Trump’s life on Saturday night. All of our elected officials deserve our prayers to keep them safe.

Our next County meeting will be on Monday, May 11 at the Millsboro Firehall at 6:30pm.

Bring a friend.

Thank you,

Tom Molnar, Sussex County Chair
