National Review Sounds the Alarm: Democratic Socialists of America Want to Abolish America - The Time to Act is NOW!


The Delaware Republican Party today is sounding the alarm after National Review exposed the shocking, anti-American agenda of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and its accelerating takeover of the Democratic Party.


In a blistering July 27 piece titled “The DSA Wants to Abolish America,” National Review revealed how DSA national co-chair Megan Romer, in a Fox News Sunday interview, openly and unapologetically confirmed her organization’s plan to tear down the foundations of the United States.


When pressed by host Shannon Bream, Romer confirmed the DSA supports:

  • Abolishing the U.S. Senate — the very institution designed to protect the states and the Union

  • Gutting the presidency “as we now know it”

  • Replacing the Supreme Court with a body controlled by Congress

  • Abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

  • Erasing America’s national borders

  • Granting blanket amnesty to those who entered the country illegally

  • Defunding the Pentagon and weakening our military

  • Largely abolishing prisons

  • Seizing most large corporations for government ownership

National Review did not mince words. It declared that Romer and the DSA “would wipe the United States from the face of this earth” if given the chance. 


Abolishing the Senate, the outlet warned, would effectively abolish the states themselves — and with them, the American Republic.


This is not theory. It is happening in real time. DSA-backed candidates have already:

  • Toppled longtime Democratic incumbents in New York

  • Seized a major primary victory in Colorado

  • Advanced in Pennsylvania and other states

  • Captured or nearly captured mayoral power in major American cities

With more than 120,000 members and growing, the DSA is no longer a fringe movement. It is a determined political force methodically primarying moderates, hijacking Democratic ballot lines, and embedding itself inside the party while pursuing an explicitly socialist and anti-constitutional agenda.


The Delaware Republican Party stands in absolute opposition to this dangerous ideology.


We reject:

  • Socialism and its inevitable path to tyranny

  • Any effort to destroy the Constitution

  • Open borders and the abolition of immigration enforcement

  • The deliberate weakening of America’s military

  • Government confiscation of private property and industry

While Democrats increasingly accommodate and elevate these radicals, Republicans in Delaware will continue to fight for individual liberty, free enterprise, secure borders, a strong national defense, and the preservation of the American way of life.


The choice could not be clearer. Now is the time to act.
