Campaigns live and die by their ability to raise and manage money legally, strategically, and at scale. A strong message and a capable candidate mean little if the campaign lacks the resources to communicate with voters and compete effectively.

This three-hour workshop provides a practical breakdown of how modern campaigns build and execute a complete finance plan while navigating the complex rules surrounding compliance, PAC support, and party money.

Participants will examine how federal and state compliance rules shape fundraising strategy, how campaigns coordinate with political action committees and party committees, and how those relationships can dramatically expand a campaign’s financial capacity when used correctly.

The session will also walk through the process of building a comprehensive campaign finance plan, including donor targeting, budgeting, fundraising timelines, and the allocation of resources across the life of a campaign.

Rather than focusing on theory, the workshop emphasizes the real financial decisions campaigns must make under tight timelines and competitive pressure.

By the end of the session, participants will understand how to:
