A Message From Tom Molnar, Sussex GOP Chairman

Fellow Patriots,

September 2nd was the first day of Early Voting for the Delaware Primary Election. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity, for a number of reasons.

Reason 1

We never know what the weather will be on Primary Election Day, Sept 15th. With the crazy weather we have been having, one never knows.

Reason 2

It's usually less crowded at the polls. Remember, you can vote at any of the 9 Early Voting locations in Sussex County. It may or may not be your regular voting location. When in doubt, check Sussex.gop for Early Voting location information. Also, at the end of this email are the Early Voting Dates and Locations.

Reason 3

The more people vote early, the less people we have to call on election day to GET OUT THE VOTE. Shep Kilby, Sussex GOP Vice Chair, and I, will be at the GOP office all day on September 15th with many volunteers making phone calls. I encourage you to join us! Food and beverages will be available all day.

On another note, it was brought to my attention early on the morning of Sept 2 that the opposition party was handing out refreshments outside of a polling place. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN and includes water bottles.

If you see something suspicious, please call me at 609-947-5313, or the Sussex County Department of Elections at 302-856-5367, ext. 0. If possible, take a photo or video if the suspicious activity is outside. Remember, you cannot take photos or videos inside the poll location. The exception is that while in the voting booth you CAN take a photo of your voting receipt before leaving the booth.

Join us as a Greeter or a Challenger! Just 2-3 hours can make a difference in the outcome of the election and will be appreciated. You can let us know either by filling out the form on the VOLUNTEER page of sussex.gop or by sending an email to sussexvolunteer@gmail.com or info@sussex.gop.

What timing! The next Sussex GOP monthly meeting is Monday, September 14th, the day before Primary Election Day! For this special, social meeting, please come to Revelation Brewery in Georgetown. I am in the process of contacting ALL Sussex County politicians and candidates to invite them to join us. The official start time is 6:30 PM but you're welcome to come early. The Revelation Brewery bar and food truck will be open for business.

This meeting is our big fundraiser. Money raised goes to the candidates. Lots of live auction and silent auction opportunities!
