A Message from Tom Molnar, Sussex GOP Chair

Fellow Patriots,
Now that the smoke has cleared and the primary election is in the rear view mirror, I want to address a few things.
First and foremost, I want to thank every person who stepped outside of their normal routine to run for an office, whether you received the most votes or not.
Thank you for investing your valuable time, your hard-earned money, and countless hours of effort to pursue an elected position and make a difference in our community. Your willingness to step up and serve deserves our sincere gratitude and respect. THANK YOU!
Second, I congratulate all of the candidates who have advanced to the General Election! GOOD LUCK—the fight continues. Stay focused. There is still work to be done!
Third, Ronald Reagan is credited with saying, “The day after the primary, we are all Republicans.” If the candidate you supported did not win the primary, now is the time to come together and support the candidate chosen by the voters. I’m also reminded of Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment which is, "Thou shall not speak ill of any fellow Republicans". The primary is over. Now, we unite, support our candidates, and move forward together.
Fourth, now is the time to step up! Please give what you can to support the candidates in your district—both financially and with your time. Volunteer for an hour or more each week to knock doors, make phone calls, or plan ahead to greet voters at an election site. Every volunteer matters. Every hour matters. Every contribution matters. Fifth, many of our candidates are participating in a Forum with their democrat opponent. In closing, our next Sussex County Republican Committee meeting is Monday, October 12, 6:30 PM at the Millsboro Fire Co. Hall. I’m working to have as many candidates as possible there for a meet-and-greet. Please join us, meet the candidates, and show your support. Hope to see you there!
Thank you for your continued support. We cannot afford to lose any seats, and the road ahead will be an uphill battle. Every effort, every volunteer, and every contribution will matter.
