SCRW Free Event-Learn Numinar to text your friends to GO VOTE

October 2, 2026

Marilyn Booker, President

Sussex County Republican Women's Club

Greetings, SCRWC Members and Associates,

Only half of Delaware Republicans vote in an off-year election. That turnout costs us seats we should be winning. If 7 of 10 of us had voted in 2022, Republicans would have won House Districts 20 and 27, and b

oth seats have Republican candidates on the ballot this November.

Most of the Republicans who stay home aren't against us. They're busy, they don't think a state House race touches their lives, or no one asked them. That last part is where you come in.

The research is consistent: a text from someone you know makes a person much more likely to vote, while texts from strangers barely move them. In a 2024 Florida test, low-turnout Republicans who heard from a friend through the Numinar app voted at a rate almost 10 points higher than those who didn't. That is the same app we'll use together.

Please join us:

At Nicola's Pizza on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:00 PM

Nicola's Pizza, 17323 Ocean One Plaza, Lewes, DE

Pizza and soda are on us; anything else from the menu is on you.

In about an hour, we'll show you how to use Numinar's "Help Your Friends Vote" feature from your own phone. It matches the people in your contacts to the voter file, shows you which friends and neighbors could use a nudge, and gives you a short, friendly text you can send as written or make your own. Please bring your phone, fully charged, and download the Numinar app beforehand or we'll help you set it up there.

The timing matters. Early voting runs October 22 through November 1, and Election Day is November 3. Learning this on the October 14th gives you a whole week to reach the people who matter to you before the first ballots are cast.

Our new 30-second video, which walks through the same steps, so you can watch it again later and share it with friends.

Please RSVP by Friday, October 9th to: info@scrwc.net, and include your cell number. You're welcome to bring a friend; just add them to your RSVP.

The neighbor who means to vote but never gets around to it, the retiree who doesn't know where early voting is, the young couple who just moved in: a message from you may be the reason they show up. Thank you for being willing to ask.

Warmest regards,

Marilyn Booker, President
