Delmarva Power to expand Customer Relief Fund to help more customers manage higher winter energy costs

Delmarva Power has announced the expansion of the Delmarva Power Customer Relief Fund in collaboration with local nonprofit partners. An additional $500,000 will be added to the existing fund supporting customers across Delaware and Maryland. The additional contribution comes from Delmarva Power’s parent company Exelon and brings Delmarva Power’s direct customer assistance efforts to address energy affordability to $6.5 million in the past year.

"Rising costs are putting real pressure on families across Delaware, and reliable energy is something no household should be without. Community organizations are often the very first place people seek comfort, guidance, and support when they’re struggling,” said United Way of Delaware CEO Michelle Taylor. “This funding will help us continue serving residents, supporting those in need, and strengthening the community during periods of heightened need. We’re honored to team up with Delmarva Power on this important initiative.”

For Customers in Delaware

Customers with gas or electric service can receive up to $300 and customers with both gas and electric service will now be eligible for up to $500 in relief.
